How to connect to the BristolCC VPN
What is the BristolCC VPN: The purpose of the BristolCC VPN is to provide a secure connection when connecting to the Bristol network from off-campus. The BristolCC VPN is installed on all Bristol-owned laptops that are utilized off-campus by our Staff and Faculty users. The BristolCC VPN will allow you to have access to Banner, Degree Works, Argos, and your office extension while off-campus. Reminder: if you are trying to access Department Shares you will need to utilize the Bristol Vlabs (formally known as the Intranet). You can learn more about accessing these shares off-campus by checking out this solution article Access Shared/Department Shares Off-Campus Connecting to the BristolCC VPN: You will need to connect to BristlCC VPN whenever you turn the system on and want to access Banner, Degree Works, Argos, and your office extension while off-campus. 1. Click on your network icon in the lower right toolbar 2. You should see the BristolCC VPN on the top of your network list, click on BristolCC VPN and then click Connect 3. Sign in with your myBristol username and password. This is the same username you use to sign in to your computer and myBristol (third party ID) Example: 4. You will get a notification on your mobile device from AuthPoint confirming that you are trying to sign into the VPN. Make sure to click approve. *If you do not have the AuthPoint installed on your device please submit a ticket with ITS here. You should now be securely connected to the BristolCC network and will have access to Banner, Degree Works, Argos, and your office extension. When you no longer need to be connected or are done for the day, please make sure to disconnect from the BristolCC VPN. Keep reading to learn how to disconnect. Disconnecting From The BristolCC VPN: When you are done for the day and no longer need access to the Bristol resources, please disconnect. Disconnecting from the BristolCC VPN is very similar to connecting. 1. Click on your network icon in the lower right toolbar 2. You should see the BristolCC VPN on the top of your network list, click on BristolCC VPN and then click Disconnect You now should be disconeted from the BristolCC VPN.

Activating Your AuthPoint account: VPNS ARE APPROVED BY YOUR MANAGER, WE WILL NOT GIVE ACCESS WITHOUT IT Once ITS adds your account you will receive an Activation email from wgcloud-no-reply@cloud.watchguard.com in your Bristol email. This is what the email will look like. This is not spam, do not delete it. If you do, please call us at 774-357-3333 Open the welcome email on your phone Click on "START ACTIVATION" Use the appropriate icon to install the app on your mobile device Click on Activate Follow the prompts to set your preferences for notifications Connecting to College VPN: Log onto your college laptop, click on the Network icon in the lower right corner and then VPN Click BristolCC VPN and then enter your network credentials for your username. Once you have completed the MFA setup on your mobile device, you may have the option to approve a notification or you may need to open the AuthPoint app then approve the request there.
