Bristol Remote - Accessing System Off Campus
Bristol Remote is a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) service that provides students and faculty with remote access to applications and desktop systems. Follow these steps to access Bristol Remote on your device: System Compatibility Bristol Remote is compatible with the following devices: Chromebooks macOS systems Windows systems Requirements Before accessing Bristol Remote, ensure you have the following: Active Internet Connection – A stable and reliable internet connection is required. Active myBristol Account – You must log in with your myBristol credentials. Getting Started 1. Open a web browser on your compatible device (Chrome or Firefox) 2. Navigate to the Bristol Remote portal (https://bristolcc.apporto.com/home) 3. Click on the Login button 4. Enter your myBristol email address example: jsmith00@bristolcc.edu 5. You will be brought to the myBristol sign-in page. Here, enter your myBristol username and password do not include @bristolcc.edu 6. Select an MFA option 7. Under APP STORE, click on Launch 8. You will begin to connect to the Bristol Remote machine; please allow a few moments for the system to boot up. 9. Once signed in, you will see a Windows desktop. On this desktop, there is a folder called Software. Here, you will find program shortcuts to feed for your class. Do not alter the Desktop by adding additional shortcuts; these changes will not be saved How to Save Files to Your OneDrive 1. While signed in your virtual machine open up Google Chrome web browser, then minimize it. 2. Click on the Windows Start button and type Cloud Mounter 3. Click on OneDrive 4. Click on Connect Now (leave Connect at login/startup selected) 5. A window will open. Enter your myBristol email address example: jsmith00@bristolcc.edu 5. You will be brought to the myBristol sign-in page. Here, enter your myBristol username and password do not include @bristolcc.edu 6. Select an MFA option 7. You will see a window that was OK, you can close this window 8. You will now see your OneDrive under This PC. Now you can easily access/save your OneDrive files How to Log Off Bristol Remote 1. Click on the Windows Start button. Then click on the profile button to click Sign out

CISWEB - How to access from home
To access CISWEB remotely. You first have to sign into Bristol Remote. You can see a video of this process here: COMING SOON How do I sign into CISWEB Once you are signed into Bristol Remote please click on the Software folder on the Desktop to find Putty and WinSCP. These instructions will explain how to sign into both of these programs. PuTTY Instructions 1. Open Putty.exe and enter the following settings Settings: Host Name: cisweb.bristolcc.edu Port: 220 2. Enter your username (myBristol username), then press enter. 3. Please enter your CISWEB password (this was emailed to you), then press enter *Remember Linux does NOT show visual feedback while typing the password - be careful this is a security feature A successful login will look like this WinSCP Instructions Settings: File protocol: SFTP Host name: cisweb.bristolcc.edu port number: 220 Users will fill out the information above, they can also prefill in their username and password ( this was emailed to them ) Users will get this warning, just click continue This is what a successful login looks like: Here is a video on how to view this process
