CISWEB - How to access

To access CISWEB remotely. You first have to sign into VMware to access the VDI systems.

*Please only use Chrome or Firefox.

1. Please go to https://vdi.bristolcc.edu/

If you get an error, please click on Advance

Then click on Proceed to vdi.bristolcc.edu (unsafe)

2. Click on VMware Horizon HTML Access

3. On the login screen enter your BristolCC.edu email address including the @bristolcc.edu

Example: jsmith11@bristolcc.edu

4. You will be sent to the myBristol login page, enter your credentials, and complete the MFA prompt

*login into myBristol like you normally would*

5. You will be brought to the Horizon Login Screen - sign in with your myBristol credentials (do not included @bristolcc.edu)

6. Click on the CIS VDI Pool - this has the software that you will need

7. You will be prompted to OK or Cancel in full-screen mode.

If you select OK the VDI will cover the entire screen – just press and hold the ESC key on your keyboard for a few seconds until it drops to window mode again.

Once signed in click on the Software folder on the desktop to access the needed software

*Remember to save all of your work to your OneDrive, once you sign out of these systems everything will be erased.

How do I sign into CISWEB

Once you are signed into the CIS Pool please click on the Software folder on the Desktop to find Putty and WinSCP. These instructions will explain how to sign into both of these programs.

PuTTY Instructions

1. Open Putty.exe and enter the following settings

Settings:

Host Name: cisweb.bristolcc.edu

Port: 220

2. Enter your username (myBristol username), then press enter.

3. Please enter your CISWEB password (this was emailed to you), then press enter

*Remember Linux does NOT show visual feedback while typing the password - be careful this is a security feature

WinSCP Instructions

Settings:

File protocol: SFTP

Host name: cisweb.bristolcc.edu

port number: 220

Users will fill out the information above, they can also prefill in their username and password ( this was emailed to them )

Users will get this warning, just click continue
