Instructions:
Create a Video Response: Use Canvas Studio to record or upload a short video (1–2 minutes) responding to the discussion prompt. Here is a tutorial: How to Reply to Discussion with a Canvas Studio Video Tutorial.
Engage with Peers: Watch at least two classmates’ videos and reply with a thoughtful comment or question to continue the conversation.
Due Date & Requirements: Make sure your video and replies are posted by the due date listed. Your video should clearly address the prompt and demonstrate effort and clarity.

Step 3:
- In the instructions write about how you would like students to create video replies using Studio.

Link to the student tutorial so students can learn to use Studio. For the student tutorial, copy: How to Reply to Discussion with a Canvas Studio Video Tutorial.
- Write the prompt you want students to answer and encourage student-to-student interactions by requesting students reply to each other.
- Record your own Studio Video before saving the discussion that answers your prompt or provides further explanation of your instructions. This is recommended for at least your first discussion using Studio that a student will encounter. This is because it helps encourage students to use Studio once they see an example video from an instructor.
Step 4:
Review the settings for your discussion, remember to hit save at the bottom, and publish the discussion.
