Canvas Studio allows students to easily record audio or video right from within Canvas. If recording video, they can choose to record either their webcam, computer screen, or both.
This guide will show instructors how they can setup an individual assignment in Canvas to accept Studio submissions from students.
Studio Assignment Creation
Step 1:
Start by creating the assignment as you would any other assignment in Canvas. Give it a name, description, point value, etc...
Be sure to include in the assignment instructions that you want students to submit a Canvas Studio recording.
Step 2:
In the Submission Type setting check off Text Entry, File Uploads or both. Either of these options will allow students to submit via Canvas Studio.
Step 3:
Save and Publish the assignment.
If Text Entry was chosen as the submission type, students will be able to click the Studio icon in the text editor to create a Studio Submission.
If File Uploads was chosen as the submission type, students will have a Canvas Studio button appear next to the File Upload button as a submission type.
