Step 1:
- Go to your Canvas course. Click "Grades" from Course Navigation.
- Click the exclamation point in the total column. It will say something like, "Score does not include [name] because it has no points possible."
- Write down the names that occur after "include" and before "because" in the sentence. In the example image below it is: "Assignments". These are Assignment group names.

Step 2:
- Click on "Assignments" in Course Navigation.
- Scroll through your list of assignment groups and find the names of the ones you wrote down. They should all have a 0% in the corner. In the example below, I found the assignment group named "Assignments".

Step 3:
For each one, choose 1 of 2 options below.
Option 1: If the assignment group is empty and you don't need it:
- Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the Assignment Group.
- Click "Delete" from the menu. Confirm deletion if asked.

Option 2: If the assignment group it is not empty:
-
Move assessment(s) to a different Assignment Group that has a weighted percentage above 0. These assessment(s) inside have been set to "Do not count this assignment towards the final grade" within the individual assessment settings. This will continue to work. (You can always double check this setting by editing the assessment.)

- Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the Assignment Group and click "Delete" from the menu. Confirm deletion if asked.
Done! You have successfully cleared the alert from the totals column. ✔️
