Create the Same Office Hour Link Across All Your Canvas Courses
This tutorial will show you how to set up Office Hours in Canvas Zoom Meetings with the same join link across your courses.
Step 1:
- Enter your Course and click "Zoom Meetings" in Course Navigation.
- Next, click the blue "Schedule a New Meeting" button in the upper right corner.

Step 2:
Clear out your course name in the "Topic" field. Write "Office Hours" followed by the days and time it occurs. For example, You can write "Office Hours - Monday and Tuesdays 8-9pm".

Step 3:
- Check off the box for "Recurring Meetings".
- Across from Recurrence, click the dropdown menu that says "Daily"
- From the dropdown menu click "No Fixed Time"
Step 4:

Step 5:
Under "Meeting Options" check off the box for "Use Personal Meeting ID". Ignore the warning message. (This warns you not to record during your office hours due to potential access issues.)

Step 6:
Click "Save" at the bottom of the page. The next time you click "Zoom Meetings" you will see your office hour link at the top of the list.

Step 7:
- Repeat steps 1-6 for your additional courses. Then students across your courses can join the same meeting.
- To start your office hours, go to any of your courses, click Zoom Meetings and then click the "Start" button.
- Remember to tell students to visit Zoom Meetings and click your the Join button during your office hours.
