Submitting a Presentation in VoiceThread
This tutorial explains how to upload a PowerPoint, add narration, submit it to your instructor, and access the presentations of your peers.
Step 1:
Click on the link your instructor has provided in their course site.
Step 2:
Click the Start Assignment button.
Step 3:
Use the Add from computer button to select the PowerPoint file from your computer. (poster presentation style assignment)
OR
Use the Record video/audio slide button if you would just like to post a recording instead of a slide. (if your instructor wants you to just post a video)
Step 4:
Use the pencil button to give your presentation a name. Click the Add media button if you would like to upload more slides. Click Continue to move on.
Step 5:
Use the Comment button along the bottom of your first slide to record audio or video narration for your presentation.
- Phone - Audio comments via telephone (toll free.)

Microphone - Audio comments via the microphone on your computer.

Camera - Video comments via the webcam on your computer.

Up Arrow - Upload a pre-recorded audio or video file from your computer.
If you chose microphone or camera, you will be prompted to allow VoiceThread to access your camera/microphone. Click the Allow button. If you chose Phone, skip this step.
VoiceThread will give you a 4-3-2-1 countdown and will then begin recording. Speak your comment into your microphone. You may also click on the pencil button to draw on the VoiceThread slide(s) as you speak. Click the red square stop recording button when you are done.
Review your comment recording and click the Save button if you are happy with it, click Cancel to re-record, or click Record More to keep recording.
Step 6:
Use the < > buttons in the lower-right corner of the VoiceThread to access your other slides. Use the Comment button under each slide to add comment narration to those slides as needed.
Step 7:
Click the Submit button along the right side of the page to submit your work to the instructor for grading.
If your instructor has asked you to review your peers presentations you will see a Student Gallery button along the right side of the page. Click this button to access a page with every other student's presentations. Click on a presentation and use the familiar Comment button under their slides to make comments on their presentations.
