Posting to a Blog or Journal
This tutorial explains how to post to Blogs/Journals in a course site. These tools work very similarly with one exception. In a Blog, your fellow students can see what you post. Journal posts are private between you and your instructor.
Step 1:
Instructors can make Blog or Journal links available in weekly areas or under their own areas on the course menu. Click on the name of a Blog/Journal to access it.
Step 2:
Click the Create Entry button in the upper-left corner of the page to make your first post.
Step 3:
Type a subject for your post in the Title field and type your post in the Entry Message box. Click Submit to post your entry.
- You can use the Browse Local Files button to attach a file if your instructor has asked you to do so.
Step 4:
If you are working in a Blog, you can access the posts of other students by clicking on your name along the right side of the page. A menu will appear where you can click on one of your peers names to view their blog entries.
Step 5:
Click Comment underneath an entry if you would like to respond to it.
