Bookings - Not Syncing With My Outlook Calendar
Sometimes an employee's Outlook calendar sharing settings are not set-up to allow for Bookings to read their availability, resulting in the error: "This staff member's calendar can't be synced." or Bookings saying they are available when they are not.
Check your calendar permissions
In order for Bookings to properly sync with your calendars, each staff member needs to make sure they have the correct share settings.
1. Sign into myBristol and click on email
2. Click on the Calendar icon on the left of your screen
3. At the top of the page select Share
4. Make sure your share settings are set to People in my organization Can view when I'm busy
Check your staff members availability in Bookings
1. Sign into your Bookings site and on the left click on Settings > Staff
2. Select the staff member in question and click on Edit staff
3. Under Availability, make sure to check off Events on Office calendar affect availability. This will make sure that Bookings will look at their calendar
Make sure your events on your calendar say that your are Busy
When utilizing apps such as schedule assist or Bookings, it is important that your events show that you're busy or free. When creating events / meetings in your calendar be aware of the Show as tab. If you want to colleagues to see that you are busy make sure to change this setting to Busy. This will also prevent Bookings from making your bookable.
When you schedule an event for All day, by default the Show as tab will change to Free, make sure to change it to Busy if needed. You will run into this if you are taking time off or blocking off some time in your calendar.
