Scan to Email (Ricoh)

  1. On the printer's home screen, tap Scanner.

  2. If you require settings other than the defaults, set them.
     (Defaults: 600 dpi, auto color, single sided, multipage PDF) 
  3. Select your name from the list of users.
    Simple scanner screen If you aren't on the list, follow the steps in one of the procedures listed below: 
    1. Enter your email address for just this document 
    2. Add your name and address to the list of users 
  1. Insert your document(s) face up in the document feeder. 

 

  1. Press Start

You'll receive a message from the printer with your document attached. 


Ways to Specify Your Email Address 

Enter your email address for just this document 

This procedure assumes you completed steps 1 & 2 above. 



  1. Press the Manual Entry button on the Ricoh's keypad.
  2. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter your email address. The "@" symbol is helpfully located at the lower right. Tap OK when finished

3. Continue with step 4 of the procedure above. 

 

Add Your Name and Address to the List of Users 

  1. Return to the printer's Home screen.

  2. Tap Address Book Management.

  3. Tap New Program.

  4. Next to Name, tap Change.

  5. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter your name, then tap OK
  6. Next to Key Display, tap Change
  7. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the text you want to appear on your button in the address book, typically a short but useful identifier. Then tap OK
  8. Tap E-mail
  9. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter your email address. The "@" symbol is helpfully located at the lower right. Tap OK when finished. 
  10. Tap OK to leave the Program / Change Address Book screen. 
  11. Tap Exit to leave the Address Book Management screen. 

You can now follow the procedure above to scan and email your document.
