VLabs - Access Shared Drives & N Drive From Home

To access your Department shares or your N drive off-campus you will have to utilize the Bristol Vlabs (formally known as the Intranet). This can be accessed by the VMware Horizon Client that is installed on your Bristol-owned laptop or by using this link in your web browser. The instructions below will go over how to use the Bristol Vlabs by using the link method which is very similar to utilizing the VMware Horizon Client.

1. Go to this link https://view.bristolcc.edu/portal/webclient/index.html 
Please use your computer username and password (thirdpartyID) and click Login

2. Once you are logged in click on Faculty and Staff

3.The screen will show a welcome message, you should see a message like this. This is a vitual computer starting up for you.

Desktop in your browser 

You will now see a windows desktop in your browser window. Please use the Google Chrome browser from there.

To access your folders,  go to the folder icon on the bottom of the taskbar, once opened select "This PC" on the left

Menu will open and you will see Network locations listed

At this point you can access the shared drives
